Jeremy Deller, quite rightly, is a huge fan of the thin white duke.
When Deller took over the British Pavillion at the Venice Biennale in 2013 he juxtaposed photos from David Bowie’s 1973 UK tour with images of civil unrest in 1970s Britain.
Both are local to the gallery too... Bowie is Brixton's most famous son... whereas Deller grew up in the distinctly more (upper) middle class Dulwich.
Really worth grabbing this one!
