Gerhard Richter
Gerhard embraces ‘no style and no direction’. He has produced many diverse works from the abstract to the photorealistic. Not easy to pin down but Richter does have trademarks to his style.
Blurring paintings by dragging objects across, photos blurred to produce almost abstract images. Richter is one of the world’s most expensive living artists, the fourth to be precise, his ‘Abstraktes Bild’ sold at auction for $34 million in 2015.
