Stunning original vintage exhibition poster from Louise Bourgeois.

 

Bourgeois' most famous motif is of course the spider.  Her monumental 'Maman' is 30 foot high and has stood guard outside some of the most famous art museums in the world.  

 

While obviously imposing, if not terrifying, the huge spider bronze meant something else to Bourgeois... it represented a good mother, caring and protective and a weaver like her own mother.
